Yes, yes, Christmas shopping at the supermarket because why not? :P The holiday season is the busiest for my business. Between juggling calls with my supplier and making sure everything gets delivered on schedule, it’s almost impossible for me to find the time to do anything else. The only way to keep my head above water is to tap into that skill us women do so well…multi-task.
And really, the best way to accomplish doing several things at a time is to be smart with the way you do things.
Like with preparing meals at home for example. It’s such a headache sometimes to think of a weekly menu that my family will enjoy. We end up cooking the same thing over and over again. To break the monotony, we eat out. But that also gets old after awhile and personally, I really prefer the taste of home-cooked food.
Okay back to my latest find…PureFoods Heat and Eat Lechon Kawali and Crispy Pata!
What caught my eye was the big slab of meat enclosed in plastic. They looked like such quality cuts! And you know, we never ever have Crispy Pata at home cause where do you even find the meat for it? And I was afraid of frying such a huge slab of meat. What if it doesn’t get cooked through and through? What if it ends up super tough?
But my family are big fans (I mean who is not a fan of Crispy Pata righttt) and these only cost P230 (for Lechon Kawali) and Php 325.00 (for Crispy Pata that’s 900grams) so I was like what the hell, let’s give it a shot.

What I love about these is the fact that you don’t need to defrost it! Just pop it straight from the freezer into a turbo broiler or fry pan for 10-20 minutes and you’re good to go!

I swear, I am so proud of me. Hahaha, for a first timer, both came out super juicy and tender. Plus the skin was sooo crispy! The meat was seasoned perfectly. It was delicious even without sauce.

How can something packed and frozen come out so delicious??? I don’t know it baffles me but I’m so happy I discovered these Eat and Heat packs. They make preparing special meals so easy I’m still not over it.
The NEW Purefoods Heat and Eat line comes in two variants: Lechon Kawali with a serving size of 425g per bag good for 3-4 persons and Crispy Pata at 900g per bag for 5-6 persons.
Find it this December at major supermarkets in the Greater Manila Area and Monterey Meatshops in Luzon.
