#RETURNTOREAL: 3 CHEESE MAC AND CHEESE WITH SUNDRIED TOMATOES RECIPE
I LOVE CHEESE. WITH A PASSION. Seriously. When I’m at a restaurant, when something has cheese on it, you can guarantee that I’m gonna order it. It’s the best PMS and comfort food. That’s why cheese dishes are a constant in our household especially on “special days” like Sundays and holidays. Basically, anytime the family gets together for a nice meal.
What kind of cheese? I love all kinds but the one I find most comforting is cheddar. But not just any type of cheddar. It has to carry a strong flavor. Sharp and CHEESY. It’s that real cheese flavor (if you catch my dirft) that I often find myself craving for and I only get my fix with rich, Monterey jack cheese and sharp cheddar. My favorites are those with the “Real California Cheese Seal”.

I often get mine at S and R. I swear, I can never leave this refrigerated area empty handed. All my weaknesses are in this one isle. 😜

So without further adieu, I’m sharing it with you.
I hope you guys will like it as much as we do. It comes in 3 different versions so you can still enjoy it even when you’re pressed for time.
3 cheese mac and cheese with sundried tomatoes recipe |
YOU WILL NEED:
- 1/4 block of sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ block of mozzarella cheese
- ½ block of marbled jack cheese
- 1 500g pack macaroni or penne or spirals
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 tbsp flour
- 4 tbsp butter
- about 2-3 cups full cream milk
- sundried tomatoes (optional, amount accdg to taste)
- salt and pepper
STEPS:

To take it a notch higher, prepare your béchamel!
Saute garlic and onions in butter, once fragrant, add flour.

Once flour is cooked, add milk:

When sauce thickens, add to your mac and cheese mixture:

Mix! And transfer to a baking dish. Serve.
OR if you have more time, add extra crunch for a nice contrast in texture. Just sprinkle some Japanese bread crumbs on top and pop into the oven for a few minutes until the top is brown. Serve!
