R&R WITH FRIENDS AT HENANN RESORT BOHOL
With less than 12 hours in Manila and barely unpacked, I found myself replacing sweaters for bikinis in my luggage instead.
My family and I had just arrived around midnight from our trip to Japan.
I was exhausted from 10 days of walking and touring across the Kansai region. I felt like I was coming down with the flu and all I really felt like doing was rest and recuperate for a couple of days.
But I already said yes to this Bohol trip a few months ago. Reservations had been made, flight tickets bought so there really was no way around it.
Tired as I was, I was also looking forward to spending time with friends I had missed.
So with barely 8 hours in Manila, I found myself back on a plane for a morning flight to Bohol...

But this time, everything went according to schedule and we found ourselves on a short car ride to Henann Resort, Alona Beach within minutes of arriving at Tagbilaran Airport.
CUT TO THE CHASE...
And ganda sa Henann! (It's so nice at Henann!) Seriously!
Last time I was in Bohol, I stayed at Bellevue and although it's also really nice there, the location was a bit far from Alona beach so we felt pretty much secluded from everything "happening" on the island.
Bellevue is better for a romantic retreat while Henann is the perfect resort to go to with friends.

The rooms are large, spotless and spacious enough to share comfortably for 3 people or 4 if you guys are really close. We had two rooms but ended up staying in one most of the time. |

Meals can be had buffet style at Sea Breeze where they serve an assortment of Asian, Western and Filipino food.
 Or at Christina's for ala carte style service.The food at Christina's is super good and not at all that expensive for a nice hotel. Make sure to try their Surf & Turf and Pumpkin Soup. An average main dish at Christine's only costs about Php500-Php600/head and it's perfect for date nights.

My favorite feature of our room was the balcony.In the morning, I like to have a little bit of quiet time before facing the bustling breakfast crowd so this was a very welcome sight. It's where I have my morning coffee and daily dose of social media while enjoying the coastline view and fresh air of the island.  |

But the true cherry to top this beautiful tropical sundae are the pools at Henann! |

They have so many that you can almost always find one that you can enjoy privately with your friends! |

No beach trip is complete without cocktails!

At Henann, you don't have to sneak around with your convenience store plastic bag filled with drinks. You can be shala and order directly from the bar cause beer only costs P100 and cocktails around Php150!  |

Another great feature of this place is how secluded and private it feels while you're within the perimeter of the resort but just step out and walk a few meters and you'll find yourself surrounded by the bars, restaurants and establishments that make Alona Beach an exciting beach getaway for thousands of tourists each year. |

Walking along Alona Beach is just as exhilarating as Boracay but less toxic. |

| Here, you'll find a variety of cuisines to choose from as well as a smaller cafe version of the Bohol Bee Farm restaurant. ps. their ice cream is a must try.  |

And last but definitely not the least, the people who work for Henann are super friendly and courteous which made our stay even more enjoyable. |

After having an awesome massage at Henann's Kai Regency Spa (which only cost me P800, more on that in a different post or maybe video), cocktails, fresh air and precious bonding time with friends, I felt more refreshed than ever. All traces of flu were gone within 12 hours on the island.
So in conclusion, the best way to end a tiring trip is with another trip at a relaxing place like Henann!
