THE NEW BOULANGERIE 22 AT ONE LEGASPI

Have you been inside a Boulangerie 22 pastry shop yet? It was my first time a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised with their price points.

Last holiday season, I was given a cake and some other pastries. I was so impressed with the look and quality that I presumed they came attached with a premium price tag as well but noooo.

Everything at Boulangerie is competitively priced and yummy.

The newest branch of Boulangerie 22 Frais and Authentiqué is located at the ground floor of One Legaspi Place along Rada St. which makes it a perfect pit stop for pasalubong shopping or a satisfying afternoon snack and coffee for those who work in the district.

It's interiors are clean and charming. 

The place is self-service meaning you get to choose your own pastries from an assortment of baskets that contain either sweet or savory treats...

But what they are truly famous for the world over is their sourdough bread.
The recipe has been passed down and kept a treasured family secret for over 6 generations!

TRY: Sourdough Baguette, Sourdough Raisin Walnut Rye Bread, Pan de Campagne and my favorite...the Sourdough Pizza!

 

Aside from sourdough breads and small treats, Boulangerie 22 also offers charming cakes off the shelves that can be bought anytime for as low as P599!

The highlight of the event was when Vern and Verniece gave decorating piggy and bear cakes a try:

 I got to chat with them a bit so I'm sharing with you our favorites combined:

I LOVE the Cheddar Chicken Floss Bread. It's great paired with a cold glass of soda on a hot afternoon.

For the perfect companion to your hot cup of brew, do try their Dark Chocolate Cookie which is made with Belgian Chocolate or Vern and Verniece's personal favorite, Banana Chocolate Madeleine's which are a steal at just P29 each!

Boulangerie 22 is a great place to meet over great food and coffee with friends and family OR even alone with a good book or as you try to catch up on work with your laptop!
