buffalo wild wings opens in glorietta

I missed the opening of their first branch in Capitol Commons so I made it a point to make it to this one.

I'm glad I did. 

The newly opened Buffalo Wild Wings in Glorietta is one those rare watering holes that you can enjoy both with your family and friends.

The interiors are warm, laid back, cozy and very inviting. An unpretentious place where you can just sit back, relax and enjoy a good meal over a few drinks with friends or co-workers on a weekday or for a long leisurely lunch with family on the weekends.

 

Price points are pretty standard for a resto of this nature. Portions are large and can be shared among 2-4 people depending on the dish.

I'm currently on a gallstone detox so I wasn't able to sample most of their food, I only had a barbecue chicken salad and a bit of this artichoke dip but judging from my friends faces and reactions AND number of chicken wing bones left on the table when we were done, it looked like it was SUPER delicious.

I really enjoyed this salad, grilled chicken breast was perfectly cooked and the barbecue sauce dressing was delicious, not too sweet, not too tangy. And all the greens were fresh and crispy.

 

The difference between Buffalo Wild Wings and most other wings places I've tried is that you have the option of picking your own sauce,

Instead of already smothering it on the wings, you can have it plain and choose from 6 different sauces that range from the extremely spicy to the sweeter teriyaki varieties.

 

They also have this thing called "THE BLAZING CHALLENGE" where you need to finish an x amount of super spicy wings to get a free t-shirt and bragging rights with your name plastered on their wall.

We chanced upon Miggy Chavez giving it a shot during the opening and judging from his red face, it looked awfully spicy. I almost felt bad for the guy mid-way but the constant encouragement from the service crew cum cheerleaders were enough to get him going 'til the end.
