A couple of days ago, I headed to Raffles Residences in Makati to attend the VIP launch of Happy Skin's latest lipstick collaboration with celebrity stylist, Liz Uy.

The 3 lipstick collection is aptly called "StyLIZed" and was inspired by her her bestselling book: StyLIZed: Liz Uy's Ten Style Essentials.

The event was an intimate sit down with the Uy siblings, editors, select beauty bloggers and Liz Uy herself.

I was super excited to try the new lippies when I heard what shades they were in: Red (Red Carpet), Nude (Style Icon), and Pink (24 Carats).

We couldn't wait 'til the event to sample the new shades so we asked Laureen if we could open a pack.

Apparently, she was just as excited and proud of her sister as we were so we immediately got to swatching and trying them on:

As expected, Liz's 3 shades of choice were pretty and very much wearable!

Just the right pop of color you need to polish off any outfit for a truly put-together look.

Also, the texture was really lovely and creamy. Non-drying and highly pigmented. It's glossy but not sparkly. When applied on the lips, it looks and feels like a high-end lipstick.

My favorite of the 3 is the Nude, Style Icon lippie. It's a pale pink color that's perfect for when you feel like wearing smokey eye make-up and putting the emphasis on your eyes. It's an awesome "no make-up, make-up" color for your lips! Something you can also wear everyday with any outfit. It excellently matches my natural lip color and flatters it just enough.
