preparing a child for success + giveaway

Nothing can prepare you enough for parenthood. No book, no TV show and definitely no expert. When it comes to parenting, I believe that there is no such thing as a (professional) expert. We are our own child's expert and being a parent is a learning experience unique to every child.

I wasn't ready to be a mom when I got pregnant but after giving birth, everything just fell into place. My daughter taught me how to be a parent. She taught me how to love unconditionally and to live life the way it's meant to be lived. She is my daughter and my life coach. Despite being given to me a mere 8 years ago, she has already gifted me with so much. When she was born, I was re-born as well. She is the most precious gift I have ever received, a blessing that I would like to world to see.

I believe my daughter is destined for greatness. To equip her with the skills she needs to tackle her  life ahead, I make a conscious effort to develop her Multiple Intelligence daily.

Multiple Intelligence is all about being Body Smart, Brain Smart, and People Smart. It's not just about getting good grades in school but in life as well.

My child is naturally timid so to help her get over her shyness, I enrolled her in Football class and schedule regular playdates with the kids of my friends. After the first few weeks, I immediately noticed a change in her demeanor. Because she learned a new skill and met new friends with the same interests, she became a lot more confident and self-assured. (Boom! That's a 2 point combo right there! :P)

Being able to witness your child bloom is the most priceless feeling in the world. It makes everything worth it and that is why it is very important that we expose our children to different experiences and keep them curious.
