My Daughter's First Fashion Show

Yesterday was my daughter's first ever fashion show. She modeled some clothes from their exclusive fashion line, Kiddo.

On to the day itself:

The show was scheduled for 4pm but we had to be there by 11 am for rehearsals. It was a tad bit too early in the morning for her and she wasn't in the mood for it. Almost didn't want to do it. I had to give her several pep talks with a promise of a visit to the toy store afterwards. Thank goodness, my brave little girl didn't cry the whole time. Even if some of the other kids were balling their eyes out during the show, she manged to avoid the ripple effect that crying kids sometimes cause.

And here she is decked out from top to bottom in Kiddo, waiting for her turn to strut the catwalk:

I'm a little frustrated that we weren't able to take better photos. There were just so many people and we couldn't get to the front cause the front seats were reserved for the "brand" people and I was backstage with my daughter the whole time. Dennis was able to manage a few shots from his seat a few isles away from the stage.

Done! Time to go to the toy store....

I was so proud of her! I had to muster all my self-control to not cry, scream out, "Ahhh, that's my daughter! Go Nikola!" (hahaha), I even had Kleenex ready in my blazer pocket! It was really a remarkable experience for our whole family and me and Dennis were just beaming with pride afterwards.

At the toy store, she chose to purchase a Barbie backpack filled with make-up that included these fake nails: (HAHAHA!)

which she LOVES so much! LOL!

It was an amazing weekend for me. One of the most memorable ever. My daughter is such a treasure and the best gift God has ever given us.
